Pashall-Probe-Flow-Rack

3-Inch fiberglass Parshall Flume with (2) probe wells and a stainless steel flow tranquilizing rack.  The flume, also supplied with end adapters and pipe stubs, is used to measure potentially turbulent industrial discharge.  

Under high flow conditions, turbulence is generated in the feed line.  As there was insufficient upstream straight run to cure the condition, a flow conditioning rack is installed in the inlet end adapter.  The rack helps to reduce velocity, straighten the flow, and dampen turbulence developed in the line (as well as when the flow transitions from the round pipe to the square cross-section of the flume).
