University of Texas Researchers using a Trapezoidal Flume for Marsh Flow

University of Texas Researchers using a Trapezoidal Flume

Description

Two University of Texas - Austin - researchers interrogating a InSitu Troll pressure transducer measuring water level in a stainless steel Trapezoidal Flume. By continuously measuring the water level in the flume, the researchers can calculate the instantaneous flow rate as well as the total flow of water through the flume.

Stainless steel was chosen due to its resistance to the corrosive effects of the brackish marsh water being measured.
