Fiberglass Grinder Manholes

Fiberglass Grinder Manholes are a unique solution to the problem of mounting sewage grinders below grade.

The all-fiberglass construction means the unit has high-strength, is watertight, and is corrosion resistant…all at about 1/10th the weight of concrete with essentially no maintenance. Installing a Fiberglass Grinder manhole is easy and line downtime is minimal. Dig a hole, drop it in, and you are done!

The grinder is recessed into a floor cavity and held in place by either in-channel stainless steel guides or full-height factory guide frames depending upon your needs.

OHSA-compliant fiberglass ladder with non-slip ladder rungs
Integral fiberglass grinder channel with non-slip gritted bench / shoulder
Recessed, removable fiberglass grating (over the grinder channel)
Stainless steel cabling hook (for spare power / control cabling)
Manhole thru-wall coupling (for power / controls cabling)
Inlet / outlet piping with flexible couplings for quick pipeline connection

With three distinct cover styles and three manhole diameters to choose from, Fiberglass Grinder Manholes can fit just about any installation.

Top styles include:

Full opening domed top for maximum access
Flat cover aluminum hatches for pedestrian areas / low profile installations
Large diameter opening highway loading reducers tops

The standard diameter is 5’ [152 cm], with an optional 6’ [183 cm] diameter available. For space-constrained applications a 4’ [122 cm] diameter is offered.
