Customer Focus

Experience has shown us that those representatives that serve our customers best are those with a laser sharp customer focus.

This may sound obvious as all manufacturer's representatives should their customers at the core of their operational focus, but many do not. It is not enough for us to pay lip service to our customers.

The size of the organization is not as important as customer focus. We have seen both large and small firms succeed (and fail) - the one thing the successful reps share is focus.

Communication

Communication must to two-way, it must be clear and unencumbered.

Many times with factories and reps there is something of an adversarial relationship - the factory looks at the rep as a drain on profits, while the rep is paranoid (and sometimes rightly so) that the manufacturer is going to poach their best customers (either out-right or as house accounts).

Understand, that for Openchannelflow to succeed, we need our reps to succeed. A free flow of communication between us is critical to our mission of providing our customers with the highest level of service.

Character

Because we view any rep-manufacturer relationship as a long term one, we expect and demand only the highest character in our reps.

Understand that our goal is to do the right thing - not only by our customers, but also by our reps. In signing up a representative, we are placing a tremendous amount of time, money, and faith in their organization and people. We try to do right by our employees and customers and we expect those that we associates ourselves with to do the same.
