Fiberglass Buildings for Equipment Protection

fiberglass buildings manufactured by Openchannelflow for the USGS for equipment protectionWhether you call them buildings, shelters, or enclosures, pre-engineered structures from Openchannelflow offer superior walk-in protection of equipment and process machinery for even the harshest of conditions.

Fiberglass buildings used in a wide range of applications, including:

  • Flow meter / wastewater sampling stations
  • Water quality monitoring enclosures
  • Chlorination / dechlorination buildings
  • Chemical feed / mixing / storage buildings
  • Polymer feed / mixing / storage buildings
  • Motor control center enclosures
  • Pollution monitoring equipment stations
  • Emergency safety showers
  • Fire / safety equipment storage
  • …and many, many more

Fiberglass construction means that the buildings are very light weight, highly corrosion resistant, and can be shipped prewired for immediate installation.

Installation is a snap: simply move the building into position on a prepared slab with the provided lifting eyes, apply the base gasket, bolt it down, and bring your power to the prewired load center. That’s all there is to do! Installation is quick and simple! Lift it! Set it! Done!

At the core of each Openchannelflow fiberglass building is X-Web construction. X-Web fuses the inner and outer fiberglass surfaces together with a network of fiberglass I-beams, creating a web of structural reinforcement throughout the building.

Unlike wood framed, fiberglass panel buildings, Openchannelflow fiberglass buildings don’t rely on an embedded wooden framework to support the walls or roof. This means that wall / roof penetrations aren’t susceptible to warp, rot, decay, or insect infestation due to encapsulated wood.

We’ve taken our years of experience designing and manufacturing fiberglass buildings for other companies, distilled it, considered lessons learned, all to provide you with fiberglass buildings that are high in quality, rich in features, and at an attractive price.
