Diversion Manholes

Quick Links

Diversion Manholes are used to control, direct, or distribute underground flows in pipes that don’t run full. Building on our high-strength fiberglass manhole tubes and covers, each unit can include interior drops, Y-channels, or J-bends to precisely direct flow where you need it.

Openchannelflow fiberglass Diversion Manholes are:

  • Single-piece, watertight, and corrosion resistant.
  • Available in a range of sizes, including diameters from 48- to 96-inches [1.22 to 2.44 m] and depths up to 35-feet [10.7 m].
  • Convenient, featuring drop-in-place installation.

The components that accompany your Diversion Manhole depend on your specific needs. For example, they can include gated channels to direct flow to different downstream locations, plus interior drops, Y-channels, or J-bends.

When you choose a Diversion Manhole with a Y-channel or J-bend, fiberglass benching is also included. The benching features a non-slip diamond plate that won’t wear and is easy to maintain.

Size and complexity correlate in applications that use Diversion Manholes. As complexity of a diversion system increases, so must the diameter of the Diversion Manhole.

Suit your site needs by selecting from a variety of top styles:

  • Domed Fiberglass Tops, the most popular choice, is commonly used for grassy non-traffic areas.
  • Aluminum Covers, which are typically used for pedestrian walkways and non-traffic or low-profile installations.
  • H-20 Traffic Reducers for areas with traffic, like parking lots, loading docks, and warehouse floors.
  • Open Tops for sites already covered with a shelter or other access-restriction measures.

Make the most of Diversion Manholes with a variety of accessories that help with air circulation, depth adjustments, equipment or mounting panels, storage, work surfaces, and more.
