Parshall Flume Installations

While not as varied as H flumes are in terms of their mounted, Parshall flumes can be installed in a number of creative ways to meet your flow measurement needs.

The flumes are suscessfully used in:

  • Above grade
  • At grade
  • Below grade
  • And manhole installations

Versitle in instalation and widely used, the Parshall flume is most famous of the short throated class of flumes and is widely used to measure both surface and wastewater flows.

The wide range of mounting possibilities, can, however, lead to some confusion. With that in mind, we present below a series of different Parshall flume installations to help installers see what configuraitons have worked in other applications in the past.
