Who is Openchannelflow?

Openchannelflow is a skilled manufacturer of devices for the measurement, conditioning, and control of water and wastewater flows...and the structures that shelter the equipment used with them.

Openchannelflow manufactures:

Flumes, weirs, and fiberglass manholes for the measuremnt of flows above, at, and below grade
Single piece and modular shelters and enclosures to protect the equipment used to measure / sample / treat these flows
Above and below ground flow conditioning and control devices
Gauges for measuring liquid levels in lakes, reservoirs, flumes, weirs, and tanks
Custom structures for conveying and utilizing water

We are strong believers in the need for continuing research in our field. We regularly search government, industry, and educational publications, incorporating our findings into our products, our solutions, and our blogs.

We are a young company with long experience. We have extensive experience in sizing, selecting, engineering, and manufacturing solutions for flow and equipment protection needs.

Each of us brings our own set of skills, experience, and solutions to Openchannelflow. We share and integrate them into every aspect of our efforts. None us are beyond improvement and many of our most popular products are the direct result of our failures or the suggestions from or critiques by our customers.

We stand behind what we sell….simple as that. Whether we make it – and the vast majority of our solutions are manufactured in-house – or it comes from one of our trusted suppliers, our products are backed by our class-leading (5) year FiberLock warranty.

We continually push our supply chain partners to provide us with innovative and cost effective materials and manufacturing approaches. Some times these cost more than the standard industry approach; some times they cost less. But, whether they cost more or whether they cost less, they help advance our goal of producing high performancing solutions for our customers.

These are words...but words are cheap...and so are the ones above. Ultimately, it comes down to a simple decision: do you want someone who shouts their “greatness” from the rooftops or someone who proves it every day?

We do not job shop our production...and then state how long we've been "in business".

Our products are made by OUR hands for OUR customers. Where we do rely on suppliers for assemblies, know that they have undergone years of scrutiny by us, that each of their products is inspected by us, and that they hold themselves to the same high standards that we do.

We are not distributors, warehousers, or resellers. While we do work with a select handful of them, we also know that none of them can have the same institutional knowledge of our products that we do.

We are not cheap…although we may cost less

Depending upon the product, volume, and configuration, we may be higher or lower in price. But whether we are higher or lower than those that compete against us, we don’t cut corners and we don’t ship substandard products.

We understand that much of what differentiates our products from others is more than skin deep – that you may never see it – but that doesn’t mean that we’ll cut that corner, or try to pass off substandard workmanship or materials. We’ve been around long enough and have seen how others can, and do, take shortcuts, but we don’t put OUR name on OUR product unless we know it‘s right.
