At the heart of each Openchannelflow Fiberglass Shelter is an insulating core wrapped in our X-Web technology. This technology includes a series of self-contained, insulated cells that are chemically bonded together, rather than the traditional laminated foam core between fiberglass skins. X-Web makes shelters light but incredibly strong and durable.
The premium materials used to construct Openchannelflow walk-in shelters can withstand the harshest of environments. Both chemical and UV resistant, our shelters will last in snow, wind, and more.
We’ve taken decades of experience in designing and manufacturing Fiberglass Shelters and equipped each Openchannelflow units with those features most requested by our customers. Each Openchannelflow Shelter comes with a long list of standard equipment:

- Pre-wired with stranded 12 gauge THHN in rigid PVC conduit
- 20A GFCI outlet with weather cover
- Exterior switches for independent control of light and fan
HVAC
- 585 CFM exhaust fan with screened hood
- 10-inch by 10-inch [25.4 cm by 25.4 cm] fiberglass intake shutter with screened hood
- 1,500-watt line-powered heater with thermostat
Lighting
- Dust-tight, wet location 4-foot LED interior ceiling light
Mounting
- Internal mounting flange

Modular construction makes it possible to meet your site needs and minimize budget. Openchannelflow walk-in shelters offer a variety of customization options, including:
- Doors (single, double, roll-up, and custom widths / heights).
- Electrical (outlets, switches, PVC / EMT / rigid conduit).
- HVAC (heaters, vents, fans, powered, unpowered, solar).
- Floors and Bases.

Each Openchannelflow Fiberglass Shelter comes pre-wired and ready for immediate installation. After marking out the desired installation, simply lift the shelter into position with the provided lifting eyes, apply the base gasketing, and then set the shelter. Fiberglass Shelters are secured to concrete slabs with wedge style anchors through the internal mounting flange.
For applications where a walk-in shelter is too large, Openchannelflow also offers Equipment Enclosures.
