Doors & Access
Our continual improvement process pushes us to provide our customers with the best possible product each and every time.
Door hardware is stainless steel, 316 grade where available, and intended for harsh environments and long service life. Close molded construction means that our access doors are high strength, light weight, and interchangeable. Each door is provided with molded-in recesses and guides for our surface mount hinges, window openings, and lock sets as needed, to ensure correct mounting every time.
Our stainless steel finish door closers are design for high wind applications and corrosion resistance, all while providing hydraulic door closing / wind check safety. Lock sets can be key or pad lockable as needed, with easy access lever style handles. Panic / push bars and three-point mechanisms (with anti-entrapment overrides) can be provided where operator safety or equipment protection is also required.
For increased ventilation, door louvers can also be provided to increase fresh air refresh inside the shelter.
Raised / lower door sills, chemical warning signs, kick plates and more can be provided to help customize each shelter to your particular needs.
Standard man doors are 3068 sized, with 4068, 3080, and 4080 also available in single or double door configurations. If needed, doors of different widths can be provided in our double door assemblies.
Where greater access is needed to move equipment or chemicals into / out of the shelter, roll-up doors and removable access panels can be provided.
Roll-up doors can be chain or electrically operated, insulated, and Florida wind rated as needed. Security can be provided by interior or exterior latch mechanisms and the doors can be provided in one or more than 20 colors. Regardless of size, configuration, or application, roll-up doors are provided with header and side seals to keep the weather out. Where roll-up doors need to be exterior mounted, integral weather hoods are provided.
Custom access panels can be molded just about anywhere on each wall panel, with the doors of either a lift-off or hinged design.
Where pipe or equipment penetration is needed, wall sections can have blocked out areas for future site penetration or can be of a doghouse design with underside skirting panels to restore the look of the molded-in tile pattern of the outside wall surfaces.
Similarly, roof can be provided with blocked out penetration areas or, in the case of large access needs, custom fabricated aluminum and stainless steel access hatches. All access hatches are provided with dual support gas struts, interior slam locks, and closure pull chains.
