Ultrasonic Flow Meter Measuring Flow Through a Palmer-Bowlus in a Packaged Metering Manhole

Description

An ultrasonic flow meter transducer mounted over a Palmer-Bowlus Flume integrated into a fiberglass Packaged Metering Manhole.  Due to the height of the manhole, a short deadband transducer is being used.  In the upstream section of the flume, debris has sedimented out.  Sediment can be an issue with Palmer-Bowlus Flumes due to the raised throat ramp. When sediment loads are expected to be high, a Cutthroat or Trapezoidal Flume may be a better option.
